Marlene has been engaged in the industry of translation and interpretation for over 20 years.
After completing her BA in English Language and Literature in China Marlene Lu commenced employment as a professional translator in a provincial library in 1986 and 1996. She spent a year honing her French skills in Belgium and then spent 2 years studying towards her Master of Education in Australia.
Currently she works in a New Zealand university doing international and student work.
Credentials
- Accredited Translator of National Accreditation Authority of Translators and Interpreters NAATI Level 3 Translator (NAATI, Australia)
- Member of New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters (NZSTI, New Zealand)
- Authorised Translator of New Zealand Transport Agency (Former LTNZ, New Zealand)
